- Customer account information: Duration of account plus 2 years after closure.
- Customer support records: Usually 2 years after closure.
- Refund and complaint records: Usually 7 years after final resolution.
- Marketing consent records: While active plus a reasonable evidence period after withdrawal.
- Security and access logs: Usually 12 to 24 months.
- Fraud detection records: Up to 7 years depending on risk.
- AI interaction logs: 12 months.
- Data breach records: 5 years from incident date.
3. Disposal Methods
- Digital records: secure overwriting or cryptographic erasure.
- Backups: expired data removed in accordance with backup retention schedules.
- Physical records: shredded or destroyed by certified destruction services.
4. Your Right to Request Deletion
You may request deletion of your personal information before the standard retention period expires by contacting admin@ellemotional.com. Deletion requests are fulfilled subject to legal, security, accounting, and dispute resolution obligations. We will advise you of any information we are required to retain and the reason.
